There is a very special place in my heart and mind for any entity that seeks to nurture personal growth, health, recovery and potential. I have been using self help books and tools since I was 18 (uh, that is closing in on three decades!) and I am thrilled to have had the book reviewed in such a publication. Their website has the June/July issue online, (too big to link here) and the hard copies are available and listed distribution sites on their website www.thephoenixspirit.com Thank you, Barbara and The Phoenix Spirit “Celebrating 31 years of Personal Growth & Recovery”  Peace…

OnlineOrganizing.com is any organizer’s (or wannabe organizer’s) dream site that provides “A World of Organizing Solutions…” Organizational sites are a great resource for searching for help in so many facets in life. I keep sites like these in my Favorites tab. I am delighted to report they accepted my book as one of their many tools. Check it out for other cool tools for the home, office and life in general (and my book :-) ). Peace…

survivors per day, tens of thousands…

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the average number of deaths per day from 1990 to 2007 in the US (data for 2007 is preliminary) is 6,411. Approximately 6,411 people die in this country every day. I had to let that number sink in to my brain. When I think of the number of survivors affected by those deaths, it boggles the mind. My mom had six immediate survivors (her husband and five kids). That does not account for best friends and siblings, who can definitely be defined as survivors of her death. I think of all these people who are struggling with the issues my dad and I faced, I want to help each and every one of them…Peace

Milestones…

Last week the book hit a milestone that was exciting for me. The book has been sold to end users, funeral homes, houses of worship, bookstores, financial advisors and one library in twenty seven (27) states; as well as sales to expats in the Netherlands and London, UK. I will never forget the first sale that I got from someone I didn’t know, it was a thrilling milestone. Hitting the mark above half of the States is most encouraging.

Another milestone is that the book is now available on one of my favorite funeral industry sites ConnectingDirectors.com. CEO and Founder Ryan Thogmartin has built quite a site that I peruse every day. He has passion for what he does and was kind enough to give me some of his time and feedback while I was researching and writing the book. I am a big fan of his and appreciate his listing my book in his online store.

Cheers to milestones…
